Influencer Spotlight: Audrey Stowe

Audrey is a fashion and lifestyle blogger from Dallas, TX. She currently lives in Lubbock, TX and just graduated from college. She loves all things pink, chocolate, and cats. Audrey started her blog as a creative outlet to share her life and is currently still in love with it. She's always searching for the latest beauty picks, and affordable trendy pieces.

What inspired you to start a blog?
I’ve always had a huge love for fashion and beauty. I started a beauty youtube channel when I was 15 years old. When I went to college I was reading so many blogs and loved the connection I felt to these girls over writing and decided to start one of my own to share my own adventures through my life in college and my style. I still do my Youtube as well!

How do you come up with new content ideas? What’s that process look like?
Coming up with content ideas can be tricky sometimes. I’m either super inspired and come up with 50 post ideas in a minute or I can’t think of anything for weeks. Whenever I’m stuck I like to just go out, live my life and have a little fun. It lets my brain be free and then I go back to my computer and browse through Pinterest until I find that creative spark again. I also like to ask my audience what they want to see.

Beautiful photography plays a major role on your site. When did you learn to use a camera, and
what’s your number one tip for taking great photos?
Absolutely! This is a huge part of a bloggers job. I learned to use a camera back when I was 17 years old and was very into my YT. From there, I’ve learned more and more. My #1 tip for taking great photos is to scope out a fun spot and shoot in the shade! You can do so much editing from there and it almost always looks pretty!

When partnering with a brand how do you incorporate their product into your content?
I try to incorporate their product with a post I was already planning. Maybe I’m doing a ‘What’s In my Bag’ post and that product will work great with it so that’s what I plan! I would never feature something I wouldn’t actually use.

From your point of view, what draws audiences to your social media and blog?
I think the fact that my style is fun, young, and affordable. I have a college to late twenties audience so everyone is typically shopping for very trendy pieces that won’t break the bank. Which is what I always stick too!

What is your favorite thing about being an influencer?
Definitely the connections. The connections I get to make with other bloggers, business’, and followers. I’m a huge people person and a girls girl so it’s so fun to connect with everyone.

What advice can you give to aspiring bloggers or social media influencers?
Be yourself and don’t stop! I’ve technically been in the whole ‘influencer world’ for 6 years. It took about 4 years for me to figure it out and be consistent. At that point was when I started seeing a follower gain and actually feel like I was making progress. It can take time, just don’t quit!!

How do you see blogging and influencer marketing evolving in the future?
I see it evolving in great ways! More brands are really figuring out how to work with bloggers, especially with monetary compensation which is wonderful because this is our job. I also see it evolving into a way that they will do most of their marketing depending on the brand.

Why do you love working with Acorn?
