AI is beginning to impact and infiltrate industries of all kinds, and the influencer marketing space is no different. As the number of content creators is exploding and brand spending per creator is reducing, agencies in the space are experimenting with AI features like avatars and monetization features.

However, it’s too early to say how AI will impact influencer marketing, and agencies are split on its true potential. For a space built on authentic content and human connections, some agency leaders see AI’s role as best applied to scaling and optimizing influencer campaigns. Kelly Dye, VP of Influencer Strategy at Acorn, notes that AI avatars would seem “at odds” with a model of using “real content from real people.”
